3 - Aberdeen cruised into Round 2 of the Premier Sports Cup thanks to a 3-0 victory over Kelty Hearts at Pittodrie. Goals from Kevin Nisbet, Kjartan Kjartansson and Toyosi Olusanya made it four wins out of four for Stephen Robinson's side as they set up a home tie with Dundee in the next round. Nisbet was the joint-top goalscorer in the group stage with six goals, joining Cami Elliott of East Kilbride on that tally. This was the first ever competitive fixture between Aberdeen and Kelty - this leaves city rivals Cove Rangers as the only current SPFL side the Dons have never faced in a national competition.

4 - Ayr United defeated Alloa Athletic 4-1 at Somerset Park to become the only other side to make it four wins out of four in the Premier Sports Cup group stage. A double from Owen Stirton and goals from Kieran Shanks and Jamie Murphy sealed a seeded spot in Round 2 for Gary Naysmith's side, and the draw delivered a mouthwatering tie away to Ayrshire rivals Kilmarnock. The Honest Men are now unbeaten in their last 12 meetings with the Wasps in all competitions, winning 10 and drawing two since their last defeat back in April 2018.

3 - Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Greenock Morton 1-0 at Cappielow to seal their spot in Round 2 of the Premier Sports Cup. Alfie Bavidge scored the only goal to help Scott Kellacher's side grab top spot in Group F and set up a trip to face Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle. This is just the third time the Caley Jags have made it out of the group stages since they were reintroduced a decade ago - they previously did so in 2016/17 and 2022/23. Inverness continued their impressive form in Greenock - they have won on five of their last seven visits and hold the advantage in the overall head-to-head at Cappielow with 13 wins to Morton's 6.

14 - Stenhousemuir made it through to Round 2 of the Premier Sports Cup after winning a crucial bonus point penalty shoot-out following a 0-0 draw with Livingston at Ochilview. Scott Bright scored the winning spot-kick after Darren Jamieson had saved three Livi penalties, ensuring Marvin Bartley's side topped Group E. The Warriors had not previously made it through the group stage since it was reintroduced in 2016 - the last time they made it to the last 16 was in 2012/13 under the old knock-out format. Stenhousemuir will host Motherwell in the next round as they aim to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 1975/76.

3 - Ross County defeated Airdrieonians 3-0 at the Albert Bartlett Stadium to seal their spot in Premier Sports Cup Round 2. Goals from Jamie Lindsay, Jack Turner and Lewis Jamieson helped the Staggies top Group D and become the only William Hill League 1 side in the next round. The Highland club were seeded in the draw as third-best group winners and were rewarded with a trip to face Dunfermline Athletic. County are unbeaten in their last six visits to Airdrie, winning four and drawing two since their last defeat back in April 2009. This was their biggest ever away win over the Diamonds - they had never previously beaten them at the Excelsior by more than a two-goal margin.
