The best William Hill SPFL stats and stories

3 – Hibernian defeated St Mirren 3-0 at the SMISA Stadium to remain in third place in the William Hill Premiership. Josh Mulligan, Chris Cadden and Miguel Chaiwa were all on the scoresheet for David Gray’s side as they continued their strong away form. Hibs have lost just two of their 12 away matches in all competitions – they have picked up five wins and five draws, with their only defeats coming at Ibrox and Tynecastle. The Hibees ended a run of eight league matches without a win against Saints – their last win was a 2-1 success at Easter Road in May 2023.

19 – Rangers continued their rise up the William Hill Premiership table thanks to a 3-0 victory over Dundee at Dens Park. Goals from Nicolas Raskin, Mikey Moore and Djeidi Gassama helped Danny Rohl make it three wins out of three in the league and move up to fourth in the table. The Light Blues are now unbeaten in 19 matches against the Dees in all competitions – they have won 15 and drawn four since their last defeat back in November 2017. This was Rangers’ biggest away win of 2025 – the last time they won away from home by a margin of three or more goals was a 3-0 win over Ross County last December.

1 – Queen’s Park climbed out of the relegation spots in the William Hill Championship thanks to a 2-1 win over Raith Rovers 2-1 at The City Stadium. A double from Josh Fowler handed Sean Crighton’s side just their second league win of the season, helping them move above Ross County into eighth place. This was the Spiders’ first home league win since 4th January – they had three draws and 11 defeats in 14 matches since then. Fowler has 12 goals in 15 matches in all competitions, and seven of those have come in the league, making him responsible for 70% of the Spiders’ league goals so far.

3 – Hamilton Academical defeated Peterhead 3-0 at Broadwood to move back to within two points of the promotion playoff places in William Hill League 1. Kyle MacDonald opened the scoring for John Rankin’s side before an Oli Shaw double ensured a comfortable victory. Shaw has scored in nine of his last 10 matches in all competitions, racking up 11 goals in total across these games. This is the third time in their history that Accies have hosted Peterhead in a competitive fixture, and they have won all three of them by a 3-0 scoreline – the others were both at Firhill in the 2000/01 SFL Division 3 campaign.

4 – Elgin City moved into the top four of William Hill League 2 courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Edinburgh City at Meadowbank Stadium. Edinburgh took an early lead, but goals in the last 25 minutes from Dylan Ross, Russell Dingwall and Oliver Colloty ensured that Allan Hale’s side made it three wins on the bounce in all competitions. This was the Black and Whites’ first away win of the season – their last victory on the road came at Annan in the play-off semi-final back in May. Elgin ended a run of 11 matches without a win over the Citizens in Edinburgh – they had seven defeats and four draws in the capital since a 3-0 success in August 2017.
