Dundee defeated Aberdeen 3-2 to win at Pittodrie for the first time since 2004 while Dundee United drew 1-1 with Kilmarnock at Tannadice. Motherwell thrashed St Mirren 5-0 in Paisley in the evening kick-off to continue their great run in the Premiership. Partick Thistle closed the gap on William Hill Championship leaders St Johnstone to three points by beating Airdrieonians 1-0 at Firhill. Third-placed Arbroath saw off Dunfermline Athletic 4-2 at Gayfield while Ayr United, in fourth, were held to a 0-0 draw by bottom club Ross County at Somerset Park. Queen’s Park beat Morton 3-2 at Lesser Hampden to move four points clear of the relegation zone.
Inverness CT remain five points clear in William Hill League 1 after a 1-1 draw with closest challengers Stenhousemuir in the Highland capital. Alloa Athletic beat Hamilton Accies 3-0 at the Indodrill Stadium to climb to third while Queen of the South went down 3-2 to Montrose at Links Park. Peterhead beat East Fife 3-1 at Balmoor while Cove Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Kelty Hearts at Balmoral Stadium.
East Kilbride now have a five-point lead at the top of William Hill League 2 following their 3-1 victory over Dumbarton at K-Park as title rivals The Spartans lost 2-1 at Stranraer. Third-placed Clyde thumped bottom club Edinburgh City 5-0 at New Douglas Park while Forfar Athletic beat Annan Athletic 2-1 at Station Park. Elgin City edged out Stirling Albion 1-0 at Borough Briggs.
