Saints scoop awards double

St Johnstone have claimed an awards double after earning promotion back to the top flight of Scottish football.

Forward Jamie Gullan has been named William Hill Championship Player of the Month for April after scoring three times and claiming two assists.

Simo Valakari has been named the Scottish Championship Glen’s Manager of the Month, his third managerial award of the season in Saints' title-winning campaign.

Valakari said: "I am absolutely delighted to pick up this award, but as I have said before, it really belongs to everyone at St Johnstone Football Club.

"The players, staff and supporters have put in a monumental effort all season and ultimately that meant we went on to lift the Scottish Championship title.

"It has been such a special season for such a special club. Come on you Saints!"

St. Johnstone bring their campaign to a close away to Ayr United on Friday before starting preparations for their William Hill Premiership return in 2026/27.
