Premier Sports Cup fixtures 2026/27

Group stage schedule and TV selections

The SPFL has today confirmed the fixture list for the group stage of the 2026/27 Premier Sports Cup, following Wednesday afternoon’s draw at Hampden Park.

Five matches have been selected for live coverage on Premier Sports, starting with Stirling Albion v Dundee United on Saturday July 11, kick-off 5.30pm, as new Binos boss Steven Whittaker looks to upset the odds against Jim Goodwin’s men at Forthbank.

Premier Sports will then show a double header of matches on Saturday July 18, with six-time League Cup winners Aberdeen taking on Queen’s Park at Pittodrie, kick-off 5.00pm, and Dundee United facing Arbroath at Tannadice, kick-off 7.00pm.

On Wednesday July 22, Queen of the South, who have a new manager in Nicky Clark, will welcome the TV cameras and Stephen Robinson’s Aberdeen to Palmerston, kick-off 7.45pm. The group stage concludes on Sunday July 26 when holders St Mirren go up against Neil Lennon’s Dunfermline Athletic in Paisley, live on Premier Sports, kick-off 3.00pm.

As was the case in the past two seasons, several other matches will be broadcast on the Premier Sports app and those will be confirmed in due course. In addition, fixtures remain subject to alteration due to potential venue changes because of major summer pitch works.

A total of 80 games will be played over five matchdays across the group stage, involving 37 SPFL clubs plus and Lowland League champions Linlithgow Rose, Highland League winners Brora Rangers and Highland League runners-up Brechin City.

The eight group winners and three best runners-up will join European representatives Celtic, Heart of Midlothian, Rangers, Motherwell and Hibernian in the last 16 on August 15/16.
The quarter-finals will be played on the weekend of September 12/13 and the semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of October 31 & November 1. The 2026/27 Premier Sports Cup final will take place on Sunday December 13.

SPFL Chief Operating Officer Calum Beattie: “With an unforgettable 2025/26 Scottish football season having just ended, we are pleased to be able to announce the fixtures and TV selections for the group stage of the 2026/27 Premier Sports Cup. We would like to thank Premier Sports for their continued backing of this tournament and look forward to the action kicking off in July.”
