KDM Evolution Trophy Final 2025/26

Raith Rovers to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle

The SPFL has today announced the match details for the 2025/26 KDM Evolution Trophy final between Raith Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

This season’s final will be played at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill on Sunday April 5 and will be shown live on BBC ALBA, kick-off 4.10pm.

Raith Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle will contest the inaugural final of the new format of the KDM Evolution Trophy, with the spectacle concluding KDM Group’s first season as title sponsor.

SPFL group chief executive Neil Doncaster said: "We would like to congratulate both Raith Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle on reaching the KDM Evolution Trophy final, which will be broadcast live on BBC ALBA.

"It promises to be a closely-contested game as both teams compete to be the first winners of our impressive new trophy. We would also like to thank Partick Thistle for their assistance in hosting the final and look forward to what I’m sure will be a great occasion at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill."

Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s journey to the final started back in August as they came through six matches, which saw them top the league phase with a 100% record. Scott Kellacher’s William Hill League 1 leaders have also defeated two William Hill Championship opponents in Partick Thistle and Ayr United, both away from home, as they aim to win the competition for a fourth time.

Having reached their third final in the past five seasons, Raith Rovers are also looking to be crowned champions for a fourth time. Dougie Imrie’s side defeated Hamilton Academical and Queen of the South, before knocking out William Hill Championship rivals Queen’s Park and Airdrieonians on penalties to book their place in the final.

The game on Sunday April 5 marks a repeat of the 2019/20 final, which was not played due to the Covid pandemic, with both clubs ultimately sharing the trophy.

An estimated £1.25 million in prize money will have been shared with clubs competing in the competition this season – an increase of more than 50% on last season. The 2025/26 winners will receive £150,000, with the runners-up receiving £100,000.

Full ticket information for the KDM Evolution Trophy final will be shared in due course.
