Hearts hit back to beat Rangers

Shankland scores winner for the Premiership leaders

Heart of Midlothian recovered from a goal down to beat Rangers 2-1 in a massive match on Monday evening and move three points clear of Celtic in the title race.

Dujon Sterling gave Danny Rohl's men the lead midway through the first half at Tynecastle but Derek McInnes' team came storming back in the second period.

Stephen Kingsley grabbed the equaliser in 54 minutes and Lawrence Shankland won it with a superb first-time finish with 19 minutes left.

Hearts remain on course for a first top-flight title since 1959/60 - they now travel to Fir Park to play Motherwell on Saturday, live on Sky Sports at 8.00pm.

Rangers are seven points off the pace with just three games remaining as they prepare to face Celtic on Sunday, live on Sky Sports at 12 noon.
