Management change at Livingston

Bartley becomes boss as Martindale takes new role

Livingston have announced Marvin Bartley as the club's first-team manager with David Martindale moving to the position of Sporting Director.

The Lions are without a league win since August, a run of 22 William Hill Premiership matches following Saturday's 2-0 loss to Motherwell.

Martindale had been in charge of the West Lothian side since replacing Gary Holt in November 2020.

He led the club to a top-six finish and the League Cup Final in 2020/21.

Livingston finished bottom of the top flight in 2023/24 but Martindale ensured an immediate return thanks to a thrilling play-off victory over Ross County.

He also lifted the SPFL Trust Trophy in 2024/25 thanks to a 5-0 victory over Queen’s Park in the final.

A 2-2 draw with Kilmarnock and a 3-1 home triumph over Falkirk saw Livi start their league campaign brightly but the Lions have collected just seven points from their past 22 league games.

Seven new players have joined Livi during the January transfer window but with a six-point gap to 11th-place Kilmarnock, the club have opted for a change in management with Bartley now taking charge of Wednesday's game against Falkirk.
